Legislation was recently introduced in the California State Senate to reduce the crime of possession:
heroin
hashish
cocaine
methamphetamine
... as well as all Schedule III, IV and V controlled substances from a felony to a misdemeanor.

9 Apr 2012According to an article in the Orange County Register, a Newport Beach doctor named Brian Swan prescribed amphetamines to his girlfriend (and ex girlfriend) in order to fuel his own addiction.
This is a sad story of the impaired healer. It is not an uncommon one whatsoever.
Dr. Swan lives in Newport Beach and has his main practice in Anaheim, California.

The stories of murders and public display of corpses are so out of hand in Mexico that they almost defy reality. This latest chain of events is almost commonplace but sounds like it's out of a movie.
After 10 people were beheaded in Teloloapan and their heads put on display in the street on Sunday, a team of police were sent in a convoy to crack down. There was a message threatening the La Familia gang.
